Bring fresh water to Oneida

Oneida Nation of the Thames residents are being urged to limit their water usage.

Oneida officials said in a statement. “It’s when we experience extreme weather conditions and everyone’s consumption peaks at once, that adequate supply for emergencies is jeopardized.”

But yet with this serious problem happening the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc is able to extend hours of splash pads (which uses fresh water that is not recirculated). The government needs to step in and make sure that our reserves are able to have constant access to fresh water especially during extreme weather.

If we can waste water the way we do in our cities why can’t we bring some of that water where it is needed
