कोभिड-१९ ले सारा विश्वलाई असर गरेको छ। यो विषाणुको फैलावटलाई रोक्नु आजको प्रमुख उद्देश्य र कार्यभार रहेको छ। हाम्रो देश नेपालमा पनि सरकारले घोषणा गरेको लक-डाउनलाई अपनाएर नेपाली जनताले आफ्नो जिम्मेवारी वहन गरिरहेका छन्। दिनको दुई छाक दुई गाँस जुटाउनै  गाह्रो भए पनि समयको आवश्यकता ठानेर घरमै बसेर नेपाली जनताले जुन त्याग गरेका छन् त्यसको जस भने नपाएको अनुभूति हुँदै गएको छ। 

सामाजिक सञ्जालमा मानव शरीरमाथि निस्सङ्क्रामक छर्केको फोटो र भिडियो निकै समय देखि देखिँदै आएको हो। यस्तो अमानवीय गतिविधिको जनस्तरबाट विरोध हुँदै आएको छ। व्यक्तिको स्वास्थ्यमा नकारात्मक प्रभाव गर्न सक्ने त्यस्ता रासायनिक पदार्थहरूको यस्तो गैह्रजिम्मेवारीपूर्ण प्रयोगलाई दुरुत्साहित गर्नु आवश्यक छ। सडकमा बच्चा बोकेर हिँडिरहेका आमा-बाबु  र बच्चाका  शरीरमा त्यसै गरी निस्सङ्क्रामकको फोहोरा छर्किएको फोटो हृदय विदारक छन्। त्यस्ता रसायनले स्वास्थ्यलाई पार्ने असर त छँदैछ, व्यक्तिमा पर्ने मानसिक असर भने वर्षौँसम्म रहने निश्चित छ। 

यी निस्सङ्क्रामक छर्किने क्रियाकलाप विषाणुलाई फैलन नदिन राम्रै उद्देश्यले गरिएको भए पनि वैज्ञानिक भने छैन। अचम्म लाग्दो कुरा के छ भने यति धेरै यो विषयमा बोलिएको र लेखिएको भएपनि यी क्रियाकलापहरू दोहोरिइरहेका छन्। यस्तो महामारीको समयमा राज्यका नियमनकारी निकाय र जनताबाट निर्वाचित प्रतिनिधिहरूले पनि मानिसको जीवन र स्वास्थ्यमा असर पारिरहेका यस्ता क्रियाकलापहरूको विषयमा नाबोल्नु खेदजनक छ। सरकारले आफ्ना मातहतका निकायको यस्ता अमानवीय गतिबिधिहरू अविलम्ब रोक्नु पर्छ। 

तसर्थ, एक नागरिकका हैसियतले मैले यो सार्वजनिक अपिल गरेको छु। यदि यो अपिलले यहाँहरूको मनको कुरा बोलेको छ र नेपाल राज्यका निकायहरूलाई जिम्मेवार बनाउन चाहनु हुन्छ सहयोग गर्छ भन्ने लग्दछ भने कृपया साथ दिनु होला। धन्यवाद! 

COVID-19 has affected the entire world and blocking the spread of coronavirus has been the major concern. Nepalese people have responsibly accepted their role in containing the virus by following the government-announced lockdown rules. The sacrifice people have made, despite many having hardships to put food on the table, has not been acknowledged by the authorities. 

Photos and videos of disinfectants spraying on human bodies have been seen on social media. People have been speaking against this inhuman activity for a while. It is necessary to discourage such irresponsible use of chemicals that can have a negative impact on a person's health. The photos and videos showing disinfectants sprayed in the body of children and their parents is heartbreaking. In addition to the effects of those chemicals in physical health, the psychological effects are certain to last for years. 

Although these activities might be well-intentioned, spraying disinfectants on the human body as seen is not a scientific way of preventing virus spread. Surprisingly, despite so much being said and written against it, this inhuman activity is repeated everyday. It is unfortunate that even state regulatory bodies and elected representatives do not speak against activities that are affecting people's lives and health during an epidemic. The government should immediately stop such inhumane activities of its subordinate bodies.
