The Rt Hon.Prime Minister of Nepal,

Puspa Kamal Dahal

We would like to draw your strong attention into the recent political activity of Nepal after Government proposed the second amendment bill of the constitution to the Nepali Parliament dated on 29th November 2016.

We call on the Government of the Nepal, The Office of the Prime Minister, The Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to keep on eye & analyze the activities made by the Indian Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Ranjit Rae, who has had time and again involved into Nepal’s internal politics beyond his professional protocols. Following the evaluation, there is a huge public outrage in print media, social media and street protest from different parts of Nepal regarding his unethical behaviours. So, we demand Nepal government authorities to declare Indian Ambassador to Nepal Mr.Ranjit Rae as a "PERSONA NON- GRATA" in Nepal.

Under Article 9, of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961, the Nepal government can "At any time and without having to explain its decision" declare diplomat "persona non-grata". Nepali Public strongly suggests to the Nepal government to exercise this law. A person so declared will be considered unacceptable & must be deported from Nepal. His activities in the current political scenario are a matter of deep concern and public believe that he must be deported. His political involvement as being a diplomat for a sovereign country is totally unacceptable for us and we public believe that Nepal Government should apply zero tolerance for this sort of political moves.

On 4th December 2016, almost all of the Nepali main stream medias published the news regarding the undiplomatic meeting of Mr Rae & Samuykta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha(SLMM) inside the premises of Indian Embassy in Nepal and advised them to take the ownership of the constitution amendment bill which have sparked an outrage in Nepal and worldwide within the Nepalese diaspora.

His involvement & recent actions have intervened in peace, prosperity & sovereignty of a democratic & Sovereign nation. This has also led to a severe negative impact on Nepal-India diplomatic relation. We Nepali people also take very seriously about the official statements, comments & direct intervention done by Indian embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal during the different time frame for Nepal's constitution which they have no rights.

More prominently, his remarks violate the international diplomatic norms. Thus, we demand Mr. Ranjit Ray to be declared "persona non-grata" immediately.

Kind Regards
