Dear Sir/Madam,
As a working mother of two kids, this lockdown has severely restricted me from performing my work duties. Online schooling leaves my kids at home, having me to stay home along with them. Leaving them unattended and confined to homes without a safe outlet places quite a strain on parents much like myself. I am sure, I am not alone in this boat. There are thousands of mothers like me who are going thru same challenge. Young fathers are also not any exception.

Day-care facilities can come to our rescue. They enable the kids to go about their usual prancing around while remaining in a safe, secure area under watchful eyes. As most of the day-care centres are run by women, it is a win-win situation for women and working population. Due to the restrictions imposed by government and lack of clarity about their operations, day-care centres are not taking our kids, now.

We appeal to the competent authorities to study the situation and immediately declare day-care facilities as essentials services without any delay.
