Why this petition matters

Started by C P

Normally all workers of all branches in Ireland are allowed to receive a COVID-19 payment to face this crisis, both employee and selfemployed and even companies, too! However, if you are a selfemployed, for example, taxidriver, over 66 you are not. Specifically in my case I am semiretired and have mulitple health issues and 1) can't risk to work 2) there is no work for taxis in a quarantene. Because I have the old age pension, which is the same little as usual, I am not entitled and so many others in the same position. People struggle already to survive during normal times with the old age pension alone.
