In India, almost all the waste is being mixed up together and disposed. Used razor blades, sanitary napkins, condoms, vegetable waste, batteries, used electronics, card boards, papers, plastics, etc... everything is being mixed up together and disposed off.

This is not only an environment issue but also a health hazard. There are thousands of individuals who through this pile of mixed up crap to salvage items to make a living out of it. Even automation cannot sort this mix up considering the volume and variations in the waste types.

Bottom line is that, we need a government order to dispose the waste in a segregated manner. There are many western countries where the householders or commercial spaces have separate bins for different waste kinds. And if there is a mix up, the concerned persons are fined. We need a similar system and not another COVID to teach us a lesson.
