There should be no income tax in India

I don't see any point in taxing income at all .There are many better ways to collect money for the government.Salaried people are paying taxes because there is no way they can avoid paying because all the transactions are taking place in a formal economy. If given the chance , salaried people would also avoid it like any other professionals like CA , Doctors , Lawyers etc. Professionals (CA, Doctors, Lawyers etc) declare their own income and pay tax accordingly . Under reporting of income is very easy as there is no 3rd party who is responsible for their tracking n collecting taxes from them unlike salaried people where employers have every single detail about their employees.
There should be no income tax in India . In India , less than 3% of people pay income tax because their sources of income (Salaried People) can be verified and validated. There are many ways to collect money from the people not just taxing their income .
Government can tax spending , saving and income . Spending is the most pervasive activity in any economy. So , it makes sense to tax spending in the economy .
Taxes should be increased on consumption items to care of impact resulting from doing away of income taxes .
Efforts should be made to make an economy digital so that every spending can be tracked and taxed accordingly.
I request all the people to sign this petition and let our voice be heard in the corridors of power in Indian Parliament.
