Strong Data protection rules - Stop selling my personal Data!

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

I signed on a DMAT account form in noida and next day i started receiving calls from madhya pradesh regarding trading - What's that?

I rushed to see my signed form for account creation and found that there was a small phrase titled "Declaration" :

I hereby authorize you to disclose, share, rely, limit in any form, mode or manner, all / any information provided by me, including all changes, updates to such information as and when provided by me to / any of the mutual fund, its Sponsor, Asset management company, trustees, their employees......

And many more (Basically EVERYONE-EVERYWHERE)

Most of us never read a 12-20 pages form (and almost impossible to read and understand those legal terms for common users), hence ends up with taking power from consumers hands - this should be changed.

It should not be mandatory to agree on selling our personal data for applying for such service

With GDPR in effect in EU from 25th may 2018, we also need strengthen and unify data protection for individuals in india.

There is no such strong rule in india that prevents selling our personal data to literally anyone-anywhere and that's really a huge concern when it results in many issue related to our privacy and unwanted marketing calls. No one should be able to get my data without my concern and should inform about what i agreed upon.

Our personal data contains

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone
  • Bank account details
  • and many sensitive informations

I Don't want any company to sell it and leave me hopeless if some breach happens!
