On 05/08/2020 we received news of 2 covid positive patients who were employees of Sun pharma living in some residential buildings in Ranipool and Adampool which falls in Samdur Block. Now there are many employees of Sun pharma residing in around Samdur block which has made the life of vulnerable people at risk. Ranipool is a commercial place where many business establishments are present and now we do not know who will be the prey of this novel virus? As we know many of this covid cases in the past and present day is from this company Sun Pharma and now we the public of Ranipool would like to raise our voice against the closure of company Sun Pharma Plant I and Plant II for at least 15 days and we want each and every employees of Sun pharma to be in strict quarantine to avoid community spread. In Ranipool there are many people who are having health issues like Blood Sugar, Hypertensions, and many life threatening health issues and due to increase in covid positive cases in our home town has made their life at stake . According to Human Rights Act Article 2 which protects Rights to life and it illustrates even Government can't try to end our life and even directs government to take serious measures to protect the life of public if their lives are at risk.Therefore its our Absolute Rights to life and we demand for the closure of Sun Pharma at earliest and strict action against the company if they play with the life of public of Ranipool and Adampool. Lets join our hands together for the closure of the Sun Pharma for minimum 15 days and in case of foul play we demand Government of Sikkim that public of Ranipool shall knock the door of court in violation of Human Rights.
