PHR International started this petition to Government of India and

¨Rape is the fourth most common crime against women in India. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) 2018 annual report, 33,356 rape cases were reported across India in 2018. Out of these, 31,320 were committed by someone known to the victim (93.9% of the cases). According ¨to NCRB 2015 statistics, Madhya Pradesh has the highest raw number of rape reports among Indian states, while Jodhpur in Rajasthan has the highest per capita rate of rape reports in cities followed by Delhi, the capital city.

¨In India, a rape is reported every 15 minutes, according to recently released official government crime data.  ¨According to recent government data, 32,500 cases of rape were registered with the police in 2017 – almost 90 per day. The National Crime Records Bureau on October 21, 2019, released its report for the year 2017, which stated that 359,849 cases of crime against women were reported in the country. ¨

According to Article375 of the constitution of India , A man is said to commit "rape" if he did rape -

 ¨Firstly. –– Against her will.
¨Secondly. –– Without her consent.
¨Thirdly. –– With her consent, when her consent has been obtained by putting her or any person in whom she is interested, in fear of death or of hurt.

Fifthly. –– With her consent when, at the time of giving such consent, by reason of unsoundness of mind or intoxication or the administration by him personally or through another of any stupefying or unwholesome Substance, she is unable to understand the nature and consequences of that to which she gives consent.

¨Sixthly. –– With or without her consent, when she is under eighteen years of age.
¨Seventhly. –– When she is unable to communicate consent.

Cases of Rape in India are still on rise. What happened with a Girl in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, India is horrifying. The girl name was Manisha Valmika. Her Spinal Cord was broken and the Tongue was cut off by the Rapists.  The police burnt her body without giving it to the Mother of the Girl .

Peoples For Human Rights International(PHR), PHR Women , PHR India and the peoples of India are demanding Justice for Women's that are the Survivor's and victims of Rape.  It's time to take action against Rapes.

It's time to  put such kind of Crime against Women's to an End.

"It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing. It doesn’t matter what your gender is. It doesn’t matter who your family are. It doesn’t matter if you’re a soldier. It doesn’t matter if you’re a civilian. It doesn’t matter what side of the conflict you’re on. Sexual violence is a crime."

One in five women and girls, including 19 per cent of women and girls aged 15 to 49, have experienced physical and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner within the last 12 months. Yet, 49 countries have no laws that specifically protect women from such violence.

Goal 5 is Gender Equality .  Goal 5.B is End all Violence against and Exploitation of Women and Girls which means to Eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual and other types of exploitation.

If Violations like this will continue then the world will take 108 years to achieve Gender Equality.
