Bharathi Raja started this petition to Government of India and

Dears,

I really appreciate the stringent move towards traffic violations by Govt. of India. These hefty fines will surely keep motorists from committing such violations.

In the meanwhile, I would like our Government to impose fines for civil irregularities which is a common sight nowadays. The relevant department and/or officer responsible should be fined heftily for such irregularities. The fines mentioned below may be altered to a higher point and extra rules can be added by the authorities to improve the quality of the services.

  • Potholes on the road - 20,000 Rupees.
  • Damaged road and not repaired - 25,000 Rupees.
  • No road / muddy path - 40,000 Rupees.
  • No Streetlight - 10,000 Rupees.
  • Broken sanitary lines and filthy water flowing on the road - 40,000 Rupees.
  • Traffic light not working - 25,000 Rupees.
  • No traffic police on the spot for regulating traffic - 30,000 Rupees.
  • Water paths not dug which leads to blockage and water overflow on the roads during rainy season - 50,000 Rupees.
  • Unfinished roadwork breaching the planned completion date - 35,000 Rupees.

As the government wants to see peaceful and disciplined driving, as a citizen I would like to see proper services from the government. Please support my petition if you think it is a legit concern.

Thanks,

Bharathi Raja.
