Sudip Kundu started this petition to Government of India

Through the reccent time, we have seen a lot of women misusing the special rights provided to them for their security and wellbeing.

I remember the incident, where Sarvjeet Singh was accused of abusing by Jasleen Kaur, where Sarvjeet was not found guilty, however the social media and electronic media didn't only harras Saravjeet, also they wanted Sarvjeet to apologise for the crime he never committed.

Now the cab driver Saadat Ali is fighting to gain his self respect back that he lost at front of hundreds of people, and millions over the internet.

We really don't find any difference between men and women when it comes about social rights, that's why we really appreciate equal rights for everyone. However when we think of special rights to women, we really feel the wall that can't be seen. This wall makes us think twice before telling a joke, having fun in a casual conversation.

Maybe this is the same reason for Saadat Ali being slapped over 20 times at front of 100 people including policemen, and no one dared to save that guy and tell the woman that "you are not supposed to be physically torturing anyone, that is against the law, approach law if needed". How much confidence it requires for someone to slap over 20 times in a row? She got that confidence somehow, and we are fighting that reason.

I have seen my relatives who lost their home that they built with their entire life's savings because of a bad marriage, keep paying EMIs over many years for their personal loans that they took to take care of their divorce. Equal rights? Really? Well this is a different topic, but I somehow feel it has direct relation with the current situation we are in.

Sign my petition if you also feel the same way, so that we can get the law changed and achieve true equal rights for everyone.
