But for the grace of God, there go I. People who commit crimes are not always evil; some are poor, abused, underprivileged, racially profiled. Many in jail today are innocent. Don't subject them to this form of torture.

I'm signing because harsh and inhumane treatment of prisoners in solitary confinement does nothing to aid in the rehabilitation of prisoners and only further degrades prisoners. Canada needs to support the human rights of prisoners and provide a prison environment that enhances rather than destroys the prisoner's sense of self and their motivation towards rehabilitation.

this is a blatant violation of human rights. what’s the point of implementing “structured intervention units” if you’re going to adhere to the same inhumane agenda that you did with solitary confinement. empty liberal promises. do better.

CSC’s approach to COVID in the prisons takes no account of the already fragile state of mental
health among the incarcerated in Canada. Shame on CSC and Minister Bill Blair.

I had a seizure during my stay in jail in a segregated unit and broke my arm and did not receive medical attention.
