Repeal of the Discriminatory Language laws in Quebec

Enough is enough.

The Language laws in Quebec serve no one but a minority of die hard prejudiced francophones who wish to eliminate every other language in Quebec other than French.

These laws do nothing but keep old hatreds going strong. they encourage division, prejudice, and language based discrimination.

They hurt not only the anglophones, but the allophones and francophones as well.
These laws hurt businesses, tourism and the education of our youth.
They hinder public services and reduce accessibility to take part in the democratic process.

The $22 million spent anually on the OQLF could be better spent on cultural preservation and cultural events in quebec, rather than policing language.

English is the defacto language of international business, and in order to be competitive on the job market and in the global economy, the right to learn and speak English in Quebec is necessary.

We need to repeal these discriminatory laws, and introduce new laws that encourage bilingualism and freedom of linguistic choice.
