Michelle Cameron started this petition to Government of Canada

In light of the recent discovery of two hundred and fifteen children at the Kamloops Indian Residential School, announced on May 28th, 2021 - it is imperative that the Government of Canada honour the indigenous nations across this country who are now grieving the loss of so many innocent lives.  Senator Lynn Beyak has retired in January 2021, but her support of the Canadian Indian Residential School system and other blatantly racist opinions towards indigenous peoples cannot go rewarded in the form of a full pension from the Canadian Government.  This same government that purports to be committed to reconciliation and the spirit of the TRC (Truth and Reconciliation Commission).  I hereby request that retired Senator Lynn Beyak's pension be revoked and used to fund the ground radar scans of all remaining sites of Indian Residential Schools in Canada.
