I am signed this petition because my son Gregory Matters was in the forces for 15 years..He so loved his country of Canada, his province of British Columbia, his city of Prince George, and his home in Pineview, our community outside of Prince George. Gregory proudly joined the armed forces to be of service to the country that he so loved..My son came home in 2009, a broken soldier with P.T.S.D. and sever back and neck injuries. He was begging for help, but no one was listening to him..My heart was breaking to see my son suffering and no one to listen to him..I tried, but was not experienced in what to do. We finally heard of Doctor Passey in Vancouver who has dealt with PTSD for many years. He flew here to P.G. and then they started to Skype. Dr. Passey was amazing, and so caring, and Gregory started to come out of his shell. He was starting to come back to us. My son Gregory was the most kindest, gentlest and caring man..My son was murdered by the RCMP here in Prince George. I was ambushed and beaten by the RCMP, then they ambushed my son and killed him..he was only armed with my cell phone. This all happened on our family farm. I have now been diagnosed with PTSD. I had to sell my only nest egg, and pay for the coroner's inquest that cost over 50,000.00. this has left me in dire straights. The jury found the police guilty of HOMOCIDE.. We were not allowed to lay charges.. I have hardly woke up from this nightmare..I could write a book. My heart breaks every day for my wonderful son..I miss him so much, he had so much more to give.

They deserve it simply for What they do for Canada and its people, and the people they help in other Countries as well, why is this even a question? Why does it warrant a petition this should happen automatically.

Veterans sacrificed for this country no matter what their duties were and what they had done. Their dedication towards this country is also admirable. I think veterans, especially the wounded ones and their family, should receive life time support from the Canadian government. We pay enough tax to support help care so we could be spending some of that on veteran support.

The ones opposing the life-long support to our veterans are the ones who never had to defend OUR COUNTRY, CANADA. Today, our Government is refusing the responsibility we owe to those WHO PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE FOR US. OUR VETERANS DESERVE WE TAKE CARE OF THEM. I encourage them to continue to sue the Canadian Government over the lump-sum disability payment. Canadian veterans, I salute you and I thank you.

I believe how a government treats it's vulnerable citizens, reflects on the type of political leaders we elect to Office!!

I believe those who would willingly put their lives on the line for the sake of a country, should not be denied the rights given and promised to them by their government.
