Professionals in dentistry are considered high risk of exposures to covid-19 aerosols yet are not recognized as front line, and as of yet have not received any acknowledgement of when we will be receiving vaccinations.  

Dental professionals should be recognized from the government’s provincial health authorities, who see us as an inconvenient black sheep and are not sure how to classify us.   From the beginning of this pandemic, that includes no real guidance on how to practice safely for ourselves or our patients, and no government provision of PPE, which we have been forced to source independently.

Dental professionals should be prioritized before general public for receiving vaccines for Covid-19 to help reduce the extreme stress that comes from working 1 foot from peoples mouths during an aerosol transmitted pandemic!
