Diabetes and obesity are on the rise in Canada. One seems to lead to the other in a vicious cycle. British Columbia is seriously behind the times in covering bariatric surgery procedures! People desperately need this surgery, and are waiting a ridiculous amount of time for this surgery. This can SAVE LIVES!! Quit fat-shaming/fat-abusing British Columbians and fund more bariatric surgeries NOW.

Thank you.

I am waiting as many people are and it's costing people their health and the medical system money. shortening these wait times would be successful on both counts.

This surgery saves and changes so many lives. It basically sure diabetes for obese people so why shouldn't it be given more freely. Of course the government doesn't really care about diabetics anyway!

A 2500 patient waitlist is far to long to wait for this life saving surgery.

I'm signing because at 58 I am excited to say my life has changed so much after all my hard work and finally having a gastric sleeve in 2018! I have lost 100 lbs, can walk daily, no more high blood pressure and have pushed off a double knee replacement! I am forever grateful

Not funding bariatric surgery costs the province more in the long run.
