what happens when state powers become scared of the people they're supposed to uphold ? they beat them violently if not kill them... i'm signing this because I know we're far, far, far better than this, these people at the top need to be exposed so we can move on as a planet.

To the Government of Bahrain, release Mr. al-Khawaja now. Must you be known as brutal tyrants afraid to listen to your intellectuals, your youth?!

Bahrain has cruelly cracked down on honest protest. Abdulhadi al Khawaja is bravely defying a corrupt system.

As an Australian citizen I stand up for #humanrights #justice #fairness #ruleoflaw and oppose #cruel #inhumane and #unjust treatment

Abdulhadi #alKhawaja hunger strike symbolizes his principles but also indicates compromised will to live unless free. See #FreeBird http://bit.ly/JorDw9.

This man's sacrifice and probable death should not be in vain and will fall squarely on the shoulders of the #Bahraini Govt #Bahrain

The treatment meted out to this man and others, who only seek a democratic voice, is medieval brutality

I am appealing to the government of Bahrain,to immediately release Abdulhadi al -Khawaja ahuman rights activist who is on hunger strike. It is not proper for the govt of Bahrain to make an international name on the torture and may be eventual death of Mr Abdulhadi.

al-Khawaja is my fellow Danish citizen with a just cause. Don't torture him for speaking his mind.
