My neighbors dog got hit by animal control, and the lady stood there and was talking to someone else as the dog struggled to try and walk home. Once the owner got there they were outraged as animal control told them the dog was going to die and they needed to fix there gate so the dog couldn't get out. So my neighbors outraged told her they would see her in court, and carried there German Shepard inside.
I am an advocate for all kinds of animals but I have never had two legged children but I have four legged children so I am signing this because I believe in the cause
There needs to be respect given to animals accidentally killed. Their families need to be informed and efforts made to save the animal if at all possible. If you hit an animal, have the decency to stop and try your best to help it or at least take it to a vet.
I'm signing because as a poet owner, having this happen to a furbaby is inexcusable, I would be heartbroken if this had happened to my baby girl Kita and probably seek justice just the same.
Not only do I own furry animals, when I was growing up I owned a horse who could jump over a 6 foot fence and he got out of our field many times eve with electric fences. Had a car hit him and just left, I'd be heartbroken.
I truly believe that automotive drivers should be held liable for an animal they have struck, much the same school f they struck a human.
Justice for animals who suffer from these injuries, be it financial justice or euthanasia, but not to left to suffer in their last moments.
