Osteopathic Manual Therapists and members of the Alberta Association of Osteopathic Manual Therapists ( were classified with personal services in Alberta’s most recent COVID-19 restriction on December 13, 2020, and forced to stop services. Osteopathic Manual Therapists provide over 75,000 appointments a year that serve Albertans and provide relief for physical injuries and dysfunction, and supports mental and emotional health and well-being. As health care professionals, the AAOMT requires the highest standards in education and ethics in Alberta for membership consideration. The AAOMT and its members have strictly followed the health directives from Alberta Health Services in our clinical practices to ensure the safety of all clients, staff and therapists, the same protocols followed by regulated health professions, to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Please support us by signing and sharing this petition to help us get back to serving Albertans who rely on the specialized care of their Osteopathic Manual Therapist, and reduce the impact on urgent or emergent care that would otherwise send people to our already overwhelmed hospitals.
