Being something close to my heart I'm trying to gain awareness that many cases of mental health are overlooked because mental health services don't see past the drug or alcohol addiction, and many cases are pushed to one side because they see and addict instead of the mental health behind it. My dad was an addict for many many years and me and my family have begged and pleaded for mental health help for him but they didn't want to know until he was sober the same in alot of cases I've heard. He couldn't get sober because he was fighting mental demons in his head and the alcohol he felt stopped him from thinking about these and numerous times he was sent back home until unfortunately he passed away just seen as an addict and not poorly. I want there to be a change in the way the mental health service see vulnerable people and give them mental health help regardless of an addiction before more and more people feel they have no choice than to not be here anymore. So if everyone could please take the time to sign the petition so we can start to get the attention this problem needs especially at the moment when people are being left so isolated and alone thankyou.
