Joanna T started this petition to Government

In signing this petition you will be protecting the health of those within our communities in England, your friends and family.  Many countries (including Scotland where it is mandatory in shops) have taken the decision to require people to wear face coverings in enclosed public spaces, for example shops and public loos.

We all know the benefits from a droplet dispersal perspective but we should also consider the fact that wearing a face covering prevents us touching our nose and mouth and also provides a psychological prompt for behaving more cautiously.  The virus is still circulating and as lockdown measures are relaxed we need to be more vigilant.  Wearing a face covering becomes even more important as the volume of people within enclosed spaces gradually increases.

The government appear to always be several steps behind (with their whack a mole stick!) but we need to be one step ahead of this virus. We need to be always thinking about how we can mitigate the risks.  Downloading the Zoe Covid 19 app is one way of placing control back into your own hands but wearing a face covering is another - it's so simple.  You will protect all those working and passing around you.

Please sign and support this petition.  Thank you!
