Hi, I found this person sharing the following information on facebook. After going thorugh this, you will find how bad our system is. We will feel ashamed, we may ignore this saying that this is common, BUT IT IS BAD...!!!!
"It was around 3:15 pm while i was crossing platform number 8 in Majestic and heard a Human crying in a Distressed manner, closer Inspection shook me badly his chest was Bulging and He was sweating litres while the number of Public was more than 40 -50 across the same platform lane.
Immediately Undressed his shirt and start Rubbing the Chest but the Chest got bulging all through and his body was gaining weight like a Baloon, unable to Pick him up or make him lie down nothing was happening but his body was sweating and after a Huge shout public joined Force and we made him relax while someone said BP was getting low and other Brought Sugar from nearby Nandini stall but was afraid to feed him. Forcefully Grabbed it from their hand n made him swallow a little Sugar which was not at all going inside as he was loosing the Breathe....BMTC officials were called to the spot and 108 Dialing done ...10 minutes passed 20 minutes passed but No Sight of Ambulance across BMTC people told us n helped him to be carried to the 1st floor where Doctor had no medicine and an Official by name manjunath was sent with the Medical Prescription to be brought from somewhere on Urgent basis.
The Patients foot was bulged like it was a leg of an Elephant and more suffering as be couldnt breathe n chest was totally Struck hard...doctor gave injections while the Whole While Ambulance was in no Sight as they kept giving Lame Excuses saying Ambulance broke down today while shifting another Patient.
At 4:13 Ambulance arrived and Patient was shifted to Victoria hospital with another volunteer taking charge with the Ambulance to the Hospital.
My Question is as a Big Organisation Serving Public isnt it the duty of BMTC to keep Ambulances and doctors in Reserve? Where should this incident be Reported so that it can be Corrected and Ambulance be said to Stay Put there in the Depot?
Please Share your views and Inbox if you have Doubts I want none to Suffer this Trauma of feeling Helplessness.
As for the public, Im very Disappointed...none came forward to help till the Shouting of my Throat Alerted the Public to join force. Please Tag the People who can Address this issue with a Strict warning sorts to the BMTC Dept."
I hope this message reaches every person responsible for this. We need ambulances at a reach in Indias' traffic. Having an 2 ambulances every 3km will make a huge difference and will help people in saving lives.
NO MEDICINE AT THE DOCTORS MEDICAL ROOM..!!! THIS OUGHT TO BE THE FRONT PAGE OF A NEWSPAPER RATHER THAN THE NEWS OF SOME CELEBRITY BUYING A NEW CAR FOR HIS WIFE...!!!!
