Being Tibetan started this petition to Government in exile

The quick, illegal and the sudden impeachment of the Chief Justice Commissioner and the other two commissioners of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission by secret vote on 25th March 2021 by the elected members of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile has essentially destroyed one of the three pillars of our democracy in Exile. This has created a constitutional crisis never heard of the before and an uproar amongst Exile Tibetans across the World. Many feel that the hush hush manner in which the secret voting was conducted was done without following due process.
In the days following the impeachment, more Tibetans condemned this undemocratic move, eventually with Samdhong Rinpochee explaining the rules and clarifying that their dismissal was done without following due process, Lobsang Choejor Chitue and the Speaker Pema Jungney put forth their resignation.

Most importantly A joint press conference was convened by the Chief Justice Sonam Norbu Dagpo and other two Commissioners Karma Damdul and Tenzin Lungtok to counter the Parliament’s charges.“As law-abiding citizens and having long records of public service, we are accepting the decision by the Tibetan Parliament-in-exile to leave our posts,” said Dagpo.
“But they said they want to make it very clear that they are not guilty of any wrongdoing. The Parliament’s decision was unjustified and undemocratic.”During these challenging times, it is upto us Tibetans in Exile to stand up for Truth and voice our opinion in restoring the power of Democracy which has been gifted to us Tibetans by His Holiness the great 14th Dalai Lama.
We, the Tibetans in World condemn the drastic action taken by the Chitues and demand that the Chief Justice Commissioner and the 2 commissioners of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission be restored to their previous position at the earliest.
