Help Homeless Health Peel Serve the Community with Permanent Funding Support
Homeless Health Peel (HHP) is a nurse-led non-profit organization that was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Region of Peel.
Our organization is currently funded under COVID-19 response funds and will cease to exist if the government does not provide a source of ongoing financial support.
We were founded to bring primary and specialized care to the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. We are asking for your support to continue this care and our mandates beyond the pandemic. We ask that you sign this petition to show your support for our work, for healthcare for the homeless, and for creating solutions to emergency room burdens.
Our team is comprised of Registered Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Nurse Practitioners. As nurses, we have a duty to advocate for our clients, our community, and for the quality of care delivered in Peel. We partner with community organizations to bring care where it is needed the most, and at the most critical times. Care belongs where clients are at, whether in shelters, on the street, in isolation centres, or at our community drop in centres.
Lend your support where it is needed the most. Help Homeless Health Peel to become a permanent fixture in the healthcare community in Peel, for our clients who need us the most. We have received formal endorsement from NPAO, WeRPN, RNAO, and the Peel Region.
