Fibromyalgia is a chronic, long-term illness. It causes all-over muscle pain, joint pain and fatigue.

Anywhere between 5 percent and 20 percent of the Uk population will come down with the flu each year. People with fibromyalgia should get the flu jab because their response to the flu is, on average, more severe than that of otherwise healthy people.

The normal person takes a week or two to recover, sometimes people with fibromyalgia take months.

People with fibromyalgia including myself struggle on a daily basis and battle pain everyday which can also effect my mobility severely.

so my question is why is it my healthcare provider and pharmacist have told me I can no longer get the flu jab on the nhs as fibromyalgia is not coming under the neurological for free flu jab.

if I get Ill on top of fibromyalgia it takes me much longer to recover than the average person. I know it’s the same for a lot more fibromyalgia worriers out there from support groups I follow. 

we need the flu jab as much as the elderly and other people with neurological diseases, we too have a disease that is incurable. 

please help me by making this petition spread far and wide and get people with fibromyalgia the health care they deserve.
