Government to enforce buying restrictions on all consumables to reduce panic buying
Why this petition matters

Since the Coronavirus hit the UK and now with the recent announcement of schools being closed and for potentially the foreseeable. Consumers have understandably reacted with panic buying to ensure each household has the enough food and daily household consumables to weather the storm. Petroleum’s and pharmacy goods are also experiencing similar issues.
I think it’s time the nation pulls together. Help your neighbours, friends and families but the government needs to intervene on the mass panic buying at Supermarkets, other food stores and petrol stations.
Guidelines need to be enforced to Supermarkets on food and household consumables. For example, 1 packet of 4 toilet rolls per household, two loaves of bread per household. Petrol stations could restrict each consumer to one tank of fuel per vehicle, per week.
As a nation we all need to do our bit. But we need some rules to prevent or reduce levels of panic buying. This could be done by rationing or other controlling techniques.
There is still plenty to go around. But we need to think about everyone in the UK. Not just ourselves.
