Families grieving their lost loved ones are being forced to remove tributes from grave sides and memorial gardens. Families pay a great deal of money every year to have the upkeep of cemeteries taken care of by our local councils, yet we are now being told we can’t go to that place of peace where so many go to leave little gifts for loved ones. Going to the grave side or memorial garden is so important for families who wish to remember their loved ones in this way. We have done this for years without any cause for concern, yet now people are being told it’s a health & safety issue! This can not be acceptable and we need to use our collective voices to make changes now to this ridiculous legislation that has been written up. This is affecting thousands of people, grief is a hard thing to carry and this is adding to the sorrow people face daily. Please help me by signing this petition! Families should have the right to put whatever they want at gravesides or memorial gardens, without worrying that it will be removed! It’s scandalous and needs challenging.
