Fair Internet prices for rural customers
This petition had 45 supporters
Why should rural customers have to pay extremely expensive prices to receive Internet. If you live in a city or town you get much more for much less. Pretty much everything we do now has some sort connection to online access. The big companies that were given a large sum of money from the government to provide rural Internet service is charging way too much for what the customers get. Families that have children are being hit really hard due to the online homework assignments they are given by their teachers. Should parents have to work all day then drive to the local library or pay high a fee for Internet service for their children to complete their homework? This seems very unfair and unjust when they (the big companies) already received funding to offset the costs to providing this service. It is time to balance this cost and make access fair to everyone if you live in towns, cities or in the rural parts of our communities.
