Many women across the globe suffer with period poverty. Did you know that over 12 million refugees have little to none sanitary products and have to go through their  period on their own? The situation is overbearing and not only takes a toll on their physical health but their mental well being too.  Have you ever had to rip your clothes to create a make-shift sanitary towel? 48% of girls in education are publicly embarrassed as a result of their period. Something that is entirely natural should not be something that young girls should need to fear. Without the right products, periods are traumatizing young girls daily and this petition puts a stop to the constant degradation towards the menstrual cycle. 14% of girls were completely oblivious to what had happened when they first started their period and not only will our petition help to stop period poverty, but help spread awareness to young girls so that they no longer have a sense of anxiety around their period.
