I write this statement because unequal rights for fathers is a problem world wide and needs to be addressed, especially for the fathers that are denied access from their children because of no fault of there own.  In my own personal experience, a past relationship which should have no implications on the the child/childrens relationship with the father, has had a massive effect resulting in myself not being able to see my own child.  However, in general, if there are legal reasons as to why the father should not be involved then access should be investigated and a decision made by the courts.  But, for fathers that are denied access by ex partners for no fault of there own and desperately want and need to see their children, it is a huge problem. The fact we also have to pay for a child we have no access to is a problem considering we have no way to know if the funds are actually being used to care for our child/children.  Most mothers don't understand the bond between father and child (for the fathers that actually want to be involved) but being denied access because of some immature reason or using the child as a weapon is not only harming the father but also the child/children . Please don't misconstrue what I mean, as I have the upmost respect for women's rights but it's very hard to agree to such movements when fathers have no equal right when it comes access to their children, whether on the birth certificate or not which in my eyes defeats the whole point of equal opportunities . I am a father denied access for my son/best friend with no explanation other than my ex partner meeting a new partner. Social services won't help even though there is signs of neglect, the police won't help even though her partner is a suspected criminal and the fact that my child's school attendence is less that 70%  for the past 2 years and the fact that nothing has been done is a huge issue.  It's time for change, please get behind me and sign.  EQUAL RIGHTS WORKS BOTH WAYS FOR BOTH GENDERS (EQUAL) being the keys word.  Fathers should have equal rights to their children and not be denied access by ex partners for no reason or faults of their own. It's up to the Government, MP'S, Police and Social services to do more and support fathers and change not only our rights but HISTORY and stand behind what they claim to support, family EQUAL RIGHTS for men.
