A child is sitting alone in the hallway during lunch, and when a teacher walks by, notices the child crying. When asked why, the child shares a secret of ongoing abuse at home. The teacher tells the principle, and the parents are called. They deny the allegations, and the child is never seen after that day. No one did anything to protect this child. This is why it is important!
A man comes home from work, to find his wife having an affair. They get a divorce. The 2 have a 9 year old daughter together. The father wants full custody. He files with the court to grant him that, and upon walking into the hearing, is arrested on the spot. Why? Suddenly he is accused of molesting his 9 year old daughter. He spends 1 year in jail when he finally goes tor trial. It is discovered in trial that the man spent a year in jail for no reason, other then to prevent him from getting custody. He is found innocent and is released, but has no home to go to, as he has lost everything he has because of this. The ex wife walks away free of any prosecution for filing false charges. This is why this is important!
