Why does dress code still exist? I can understand that you’re not allowed to wear a swimsuit in class or anything like that. How are shoulders or legs even distracting to the learning environment? Don’t even get me started on “oh you will distract the boys!” First off, most of the time they don’t care. ( I’m a trans guy myself I just look like a girl yet I can learn just fine) If they are distracted, teach the boys to control themselves instead of telling women to cover up. Sure, boys do get dress coded. But, it still doesn’t change the fact that it’s still unfair. I wore a bucket hat today and you Could see my face just fine. The teachers had the audacity to say that “no hats are allowed in the building.” What? Why can’t I wear the hat?! Is it because I would look suspicious or perhaps it would be a distraction for you? The hair dye rule is also stupid. It’s hair! People are entitled to to whatever they want with their clothing expression. I had a friend that got sent to the principles office for wearing a choker cause it looks sharp they told me to feel it. So, I did. It wasn’t even sharp! I got confused about that. Not all guys would be distracted and some do get dress coded. Not all girls or anyone are just barbies with legs, shoulders, etc. I don’t get why a person  would get in trouble for what they’re wearing. Dress code needs to change immediately. At least we are allowed to wear leggings at my school. So, we are progressing.
