Elephants are not only considered as one of the biggest mammal, in fact they are considered as one of the most important animal in our planet. Elephants help maintain forest and savanna ecosystem for other species and are integrally tied to rich biodiversity. Elephants are also a very important ecosystem engineers because they make pathway for smaller animals and they also plant trees and fight climate change.

              Elephants are very important in our planet especially in our ecosystem, but elephants are still being out numbered considering the amount of poachers that keeps killing elephants for their tusks. Elephants are now an endangered animal due to the lack of habitat or habitat loss. Elephants are very important for us but why do people keep on destroying their homes? Why do people kill them for their tusks? yes, their tusks are indeed pricey but its not an acceptable reason for us to kill them. Elephants should be protected and not killed.

             This is the main reason why I started this petition so that we can stop the continuous killing of those innocent creatures. Elephants are IMPORTANT, they have LIVES and they should not be used as a money maker.
