Disregard the new speeding laws
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
The new laws coming in on April 24th are in no shred of a doubt, anything more than a way to collect more revenue.
As it currently stands, the standard 10% + 2 works well as it takes into account the factors that can alter speed whilst driving, this ranges from speedometers that are not correctly adjusted to altering speed for safety reasons e.g. speeding up to merge into a lane when you cannot drop back.
When the new laws are set in place, people will be focused more on there speed than the road which will result in accidents.
This is nothing more than a way to get more revenue as we have seem recently with the increase of car tax prices, the threat of increasing diesel prices (although the government was all up for people driving diesels a few years ago!)
