St. Brigids day is synonymous with the first day of Spring - February 1st
It’s a specific day each year that honours the Irish saint and goddess.
the Irish government propose to celebrate a national St. Brigids day holiday on the first Monday of February rather than the actual day of honouring St. Brigid.
This means the date with change each year. In 2023 the national holiday to St. Brigid is schedued to be on the 6th of February
St Patrick’s day is on the 17th of March and not moved around. Neither should Brigids Day
This highlights the lack of Awarenss and honouring of the feminine energies of Eire
