Ban Fireworks

My name is Beth Wilson and I am 14 years old.
On the 5th November 2017, I was standing at my friends backdoor, with her family, watching the fireworks when I got hit in the eye by a firework.
This has changed my life as there is now many things I can not do as I am now partially blind in my left eye.
I have missed a significant amount of school due to my injury and numerous doctors appointments.
This has had a detrimental effect on my school work in what is a very important year for me as I am preparing to select my subjects and sit my Nationals next year.
There are certain jobs I can't do due to this injury like being a pilot and this could also effect my driving.
The firework hit me directly in my left eye and caused a number of tears in my retina and these have now scared over leaving permanent damage.
I can see very little out of my left eye now and what I can see is blurry. The consultant at the hospital has advised me that this will never change.
I also have no peripheral vision in my left eye. I suffer from headaches frequently and have firework residue embedded in my eye.
I really want to ban fireworks as they are dangerous and hurt innocent people. I was standing far away from them and in my opinion they should be banned to prevent as many injuries as possible.
They are life threatening and life changing and this is why they should be banned.
