#SkyLanterns "...damage has always been extensive..."

Wow!! 2,000 signatures. Thank you all who have taken the time and trouble to sign and share this crucial petition.

Whilst #skylantern and #balloonreleases are banned by a lot of councils on their land, there is not a UK wide ban in place. This now needs to be done. No one wants to lose their home to a fire, especially when it is caused by a sky lantern.

Tonight I was emailed by a Paul Karcheski. He is a Loss Adjuster and he has seen the bad side of sky lantern releases. This is what he told me.

"I have served both as a Loss Adjuster and now a Chartered Surveyor. In both professions I have attended fire damaged buildings due to the lit lanterns when they land before burning up.

The damage has always been extensive and has been fortunate not to have caused a loss of life. It did however cause huge loss of personal and irreplaceable property and the loss of the home for considerable periods whilst repairs are carried out."

Please ask everyone you know to sign this petition. Thank you. Amazing work folks!
