Chester zoo is in trouble. Despite it being a huge outdoor site (128 acres) capable of observing social distancing and having meticulously planned for this; the government has ordered it remain shut for an indefinite period. They are heading towards 24million debt by the end of 2020 - it costs 1.6 million a month to take such fantastic care of these animals, many of which face extinction.

Do not let this global pandemic cause the extinction of this fantastic zoo and other zoos and safari parks.

Beaches and non-essential shops are opening and yet zoos cannot. People are piling into parks and social areas, not observing social distancing and there are no ways to control this. Chester zoo can control these elements and yet is being forced to remain closed whilst places like Alton Towers are set to open. How can this be justified?

Show the government you care about the future of this and other zoos and ask them to reconsider the decision to force the zoo and others to remain closed.
