So these children of ours are safe enough to sit indoors in school Monday to Friday but can’t be allowed to play football in a massive open air space outdoors??? Absolutely ludicrous!!! And during the welsh firebreak they were allowed to travel into other lockdown areas for sports?? How can that be justified one rule for one!! This has been the whole issue with all these separate lockdowns only our children suffering here! Change the rules!! Not only is this needed for physical and health wellbeing it’s MASSIVELY important for mental health does Boris not understand this? Totally losing faith here in anything that is to come in the following months

I coached grassroots level football, it's a massive release for all the kids from what's going on in their lives.

Kids need sport and interaction, and the risk of continuing this activity is negligible.

I believe sports are key to boosting immune systems and beating any virus - as well as the psychological importance for children.

My son is in first year at university and is now struggling with feelings of isolation and depression since the ban on all sports since during this second lockdown. Sport had been his primary social activity and means of making new friends at university and now that has been taken away. The students are now spending all day in their rooms working as they cannot socialise normally or partake in sport. I think this is a very unhealthy and damaging way to force our young people to live what should be the best years of their lives. Please allow sport back on the agenda for this very vulnerable group of young people across the country.

It important to maintain fitness level and unlike football and rugby, tracks and field disciplines allow to do it in a safe manner.
