I do not believe the Academy process is the best route for pupils. Too much money is wasted & misused by Trusts. Virtually no scrutiny of public funding or Trustee 'governance'.

I am an ex teacher at the school and believe it should remain as an excellent grammar school and NOT be academised

Grammar school should remain just that, my daughter, from a disadvantaged background managed to work hard and gain a place in a grammar school because she wanted to, grammar schools should not be messed with.

As an ex-pupil of SLGGS, I believe the formation of an academy will be detrimental to the school. Furthermore, the conflict of interests in governance the proposal presents is highly questionable.

The results have been amazing and the children get a well rounded education.

I believe excellence should be applauded and preserved. The old "if it ain't broke don't fix it" maxim applies.

My experience of Academies is that they do not improve education and quite often it is the reverse.

Simon Langton is an excellent education facility, converting it to an Academy would be a disaster for the pupils and for the community.
