No patient should be left alone. They should be able to be with their love ones

My mom has been in the hospital and then rehab since march 17 (not covid). Last I was able to see her in person and not through a glass door was march 26. She finally gets out tomorrow. Almost 2 months have gone by without so much as holding her hand. What's worse is that she was already unable to speak due to aphasia (diagnosed in 2017), so she couldn't communicate her needs!

Everyone deserves to be with there loved ones in times like that. If that was my mom or dad or child i wouldnt care if i got covid 19 oh well i would deal with it. I couldnt imagine dying without my loved ones. People can put mask and gowns and face sheilds on even at their own cost. Have a friken heart.

Loved ones should be able to see their sick relatives. No one should be alone.

It's not right that my friend isn't allowed to visit her mom during her cancer treatment as neither of them are carriers of the Corona virus.

there has to be a way for a family member or who is close to this patient to be safe to be there. Gowns, masks, gloves, screened.

Signing this petition is a moral duty. It is the right thing to do. This is an ongoing unfortunate situation, that family members are restricted from being at the bedside of close ones. These patients are suffering from all that Covid-19 causes, and on top of that they are experiencing the loneliest days in their life, a time when companionship, love, and the care of family is needed most. There is no legitimate reason that justifies this act of CRUELTY. This MUST end. This WILL end. We must stand up and bring this message to the forefront. #NoPatientLeftAlone

It is outrageous that in 2020, in NYC, there would be such a cruel policy, of patients being without a family member at their bedside for weeks on end. There is no logical explanation as to why the State cannot work out this issue in an orderly fashion. Gov. Cuomo you will be remembered in the future as to what policies you supported at this crucial time. Do the right thing. Have some compassion for the patients and their families going through this very difficult time
