Allow 16 year olds to vote in the upcoming general election on June 8th 2017

Within the last year, we have seen huge constitutional changes within the UK due to the vote on Brexit. Having been a 16 year old at the time, I felt useless as I watched the UK leave the EU and felt uncertain about my future that I wasn't allowed to put my say forward in. Now that there is an upcoming election, this is a chance for redemption and political involvement for myself and other 16&17 year olds around the UK. Having now studied politics for an entire year, I feel as if I am politically educated and could make an informed decision about who I will vote for. I also feel as if people of the ages between 16 and 17 will be affected the most due to the result of the election as it will be extremely prevalent on their futures in the workplace and in further education.
