With the growing need for wearing masks and daily testing using the lateral flow tests in every household in the UK and worldwide. There is a growing concern around the disposal and recycling of these items and how it will effect the environment long term. 
We are seeing masks and other related items thrown in the streets and lateral flow tests plastics included in our household rubbish.

We talk a lot about climate change and bringing in initiatives for reducing our carbon footprint on this planet yet we are producing more and more plastic and waste to deal with controlling the spread of Covid 19.

If wearing masks and taking lateral flow tests and PCR Test is mandatory then the government need to put another initiative in place that is also monitory. Sites across the UK where the public can deposit these items and then have them collected and disposed of in a more controlled, constructive and environmental fashion in an effort to stop littering and having our household bins filled with plastic that makes it hard to separate for recycling purposes.
