We, the citizens of Bangalore, petition the Karnataka Government to take action towards the cleanliness of our local river,Vrishabhavathi River. This river is 52 kms long in the south of bangalore.

At present the condition of the river is causing harm to the water supply and the people living around that area, like Nayandahalli, Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Kengeri.

The river is highly polluted due to pollutants from industrial, agricultural and domestic sources. It is said to be dark, smelly and frothy due to untreated or badly treated domestic, agricultural and most of all industrial waste and sewage that goes into the river.

If the city doesn’t have the means to fund this important initiative directly, we’ve provided a list of non-profit organizations that look for opportunities such as this.

We demand improvement in sewage treatment of the Vrishabhavathi River as it will cause harm to the future generations.
