Reunite Raffell Griffin With His Children

In February 2019, I was arrested for a crime I did not commit and have been in jail, without a trial, since that time.

The Sixth Amendment not only guarantees me the right to a speedy trial but also the right to know the accusations against me as well as the opportunity to face my accusers. During these past two years, none of this has happened. The charges against me are constantly changing with little to no communication as to why. Two years is long enough for prosecutors to have brought this case to trial. I believe they would have done so if they actually had sufficient evidence. If they feel that they do have that evidence, I should have the opportunity to disprove that in a trial before a jury of my peers.

The Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments both guarantee that I should not be liberty without due process of the law.

I have three young children, Aaniyah, Princeton, and Riora. They are ages 10, 8, and 3. They have had to endure this time without me. Princeton lost his mother in 2020 to a stray bullet. My son needs me. My daughters need me. They are doing this time right along with me. That is unfair to them.

I will be honest. I've made mistakes in the past. I feel those mistakes have made me a target for local law enforcement and prosecutors. My past is not my present.

Please send me home.
