Government support for working parents when child is poorly & can't attend work.

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

The majority of workplaces at the moment can only offer unpaid leave or use of holidays if you have to take time off to look after your poorly child, due to lack of funding from the government.

This is especially difficult for parents who have to cover childcare costs i.e nursery, child minder, when they are losing out on pay.

Please help push for more help for working families, when they have to care for their child if they are ill. (Hospital, contagious illnesses etc) whether it be funding to businesses so they can offer full pay, or enable parents to claim back to cover the childcare costs.

There are so many parents who end up giving up work as they cannot afford to lose out on their pay to care for their child. The government should be providing better incentives to ensure more parents return to work rather than decide to stay at home where they can then claim benefits.

Help working families achieve their career goals and aspirations whilst still having a family! It should not have to be one or the other!

Something needs to be done.
