Jun 7, 2015 — We had about 20 people and 7 of the dogs who were rescued from Marjorie’s. The dogs all wore bandana’s that said Survivor of Marjorie’s Puppy Mill. We started the day about noon, walking through downtown Albany on the way to the Capitol. The sight of these beautiful dogs, caused us to get a lot of attention and many chances to share out story. We then were interviewed by Caroline Groggin of xxxx-TV in Binghampton for a series she is doing. A little before 2 we went to the Capitol. Patrick Hooker came out to the steps and met the dogs and Kassidy’s Mom read the letter she had written to Kassidy for this occasion. He sat down and listened to her story and met all the dogs. Then we headed upstairs to turn over the over 8000 pages of signatures and comments, and to have a brief discussion. Finally, we went to the Ags and Market building and met for over an hour with officials there. That meeting went on for over an hour and was a good discussion. There will continue to be follow-up discussions to get answers to open question and determine next steps.

The 7 dogs that were there were simply amazing. These dogs, some of whom are still often shy around strangers, pulled strength from each other. They allowed strangers to approach and pet them and proved to be awesome ambassadors for the cause of freeing their relatives. They seemed to know the mission and know their importance to it.
We have been noticed and heard but the dogs are not yet free so we need to continue the pressure through letters, phone calls and social media. Everyone must know that we will not be placated and we will not go away until every dog there is freed and she never breeds again.
