Nathalie is a 33-year-old young woman from the province of Quebec held against her will in Saudi Arabia by her husband since 2005. She is abused, as well as her 4 young children. Nathalie calls for help to return to her country with her children, but Canada does not act!

Nathalie met with Mr. Saeed Al Shahrani at the age of 17, unaware that he was a secret agent for his government.

March 3, 2005, Nathalie and Samir went to Saudi Arabia to join Saeed, believing that they would build a family life.

But an unwelcome surprise was awaiting her. This man, whom Nathalie calls « the monster », held them hostage in their apartment and told Nathalie to find a way to get out of Saudi Arabia if she wanted to come back to Canada.

Since then, the situation only got worse. Saeed refused for the last six years to renew Nathalie’s residence permit. Two years ago, he sold all his own ID papers. 

He has been using the drug "Captagon" for over 10 years, obviously in hiding, but Nathalie took pills from him and had them analyzed.

Despite this crime, he has total immunity from the Saudi government in recognition of the fact that he worked for them for a long time.

He has not been working for 4 years, refused several jobs and Nathalie must fight to survive with her 4 children. She receives charity from neighbours, organizations and parents from my granddaughter Sarah’s school. Sometimes, money or food is donated to her.

Saeed Shahrani is a very dangerous man. He has confessed to Nathalie that he killed people when he worked for his government. Last year, while being high on drugs, he strangled his eldest son and almost killed him. When he behaves that way, he has no compassion for his victims, and like a true persecutor used to torture, he doesn’t feel anything. He is aggressive, mentally unstable and very violent.

In Saudi Arabia, no law protects or helps Nathalie and her children.

Nathalie est une jeune Québécoise de 33 ans retenue contre son gré en Arabie saoudite par son conjoint depuis 2005. Elle est maltraitée, ainsi que ses 4 jeunes enfants. Nathalie lance un appel au secours pour pouvoir rentrer dans son pays avec ses enfants, mais le Canada ne bouge pas!
Nathalie a rencontré monsieur Saeed Al Shahrani à l'âge de 17 ans, sans savoir qu'il était agent secret pour son gouvernement.

Le 3 mars 2005, Nathalie et Samir sont allés rejoindre cet homme, croyant bâtir une vie de famille.
Mais elle a eu une mauvaise surprise. Cet homme, que Nathalie appelle « le monstre », les a séquestrés tous les deux à clé dans l'appartement en exigeant de Nathalie qu'elle trouve un moyen de sortir d'Arabie Saoudite si elle veut revenir au Canada.

Depuis ce temps, la situation ne fait qu'empirer. Depuis 6 ans, Saeed refuse de renouveler le permis de résidence de Nathalie. Il y a deux ans, il a vendu tous ses propres papiers d'identité.

Il consomme de la drogue « Captagon » depuis plus de 10 ans, évidemment en cachette, mais Nathalie a pris des pilules et les a fait analyser.

Malgré ce crime, son gouvernement lui assure une immunité complète en reconnaissance du fait qu'il a travaillé pour eux longtemps.

Il ne travaille pas depuis 4 ans, a refusé plusieurs emplois et Nathalie doit se battre pour survivre avec ses 4 enfants.  Elle reçoit de la charité de ses voisins, d'organismes et de parents de l'école de ma petite-fille Sarah.  Quelquefois, elle reçoit des dons en argent d'autres fois des assiettes de riz ou autres.

Saeed Al Shahrani est un homme très dangereux .
Il a lui-même avoué à Nathalie avoir tué alors qu'il était en fonction pour son gouvernement. L'année dernière, sous l'effet de la drogue, il a étranglé son fils aîné et il est passé proche de le tuer.  Quand il agit de la sorte, il n'a aucun mouvement de compassion pour ses victimes, comme un vrai bourreau habitué à la torture, il ne ressent rien. Il est agressif, instable mentalement et très violent. 

En Arabie saoudite, aucune loi ne protège ou n’aide Nathalie et ses enfants.
